Outdoors NSW & ACT is offering a mentoring program to 30 progressing outdoor leaders that are seeking guidance in career development, personal development, or just would like to meet more people in the industry. Kicking off 1 March, this program has been designed to provide structured content that becomes opportunities to discover more about yourself, the industry and the opportunities before you. The program is also open to mentors who want to support others in the industry and provide their own learnings to others. Professionally facilitated this program will require some commitment of time but minimal and flexible. This program is FREE for employees of Outdoors NSW & ACT members.

Education Provider Grants
The effects of the Term 4 ban on outdoor education sent shockwaves through the industry and many of our operators with costs they couldn't recover. The NSW Government announced last Sunday that there will be $14M available for application by those affected. Details on eligibility and how to apply will be available in coming weeks. Outdoors NSW & ACT together with partners ACA & CVA are working with the department on when these funds will be available.
The Child Safe Scheme New legislative changes in NSW required all organisations working in a Child-related environment need to comply with the new Child Safe Standards commencing 1 February. It means that certain child-related organisations must implement Child Safe Standards. You can find some tools to assist you on the Children's Guardian Website or view our last week's connect and share session that went through the 10 standards.
